We offer free support groups, education, and advocacy opportunities. Our programs provide judgment-free spaces for people to share experiences and resources.

Our support groups bring together people who have loved ones with mental health challenges.

What We Do


Our support groups are FREE and open to the public. All groups are led by trained facilitators with lived experience. All discussions are confidential.


NAMI Southwest CT and NAMI Connecticut offer educational programs and services for family members, people living with mental health conditions, professionals, and the community at large.


NAMI Connecticut continuously works to improve public policies for people impacted by mental health challenges in Connecticut.

On Monday, November 18, we'll discuss "Tell Your Children: The Truth About Marijuana, Mental Illness and Violence" by Alex Berenson.

11/21/19: "How to Support the Mental Health of Teens and Young Adults"

Adolescence and emerging adulthood are challenging periods of life. If you are a family member or friend of a teen or young adult, it's important to be able to recognize the signs of a potential emotional problem and help your loved one find support and treatment.

Lee Swain and Jessica Orenstein of The Jed Foundation will discuss how you can educate and equip yourself to support the young adults in your life who may be in distress or struggling with their mental health.
